Dr. Khalid Koser is founding Executive Director of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund, a global fund dedicated to preventing violent extremism. In its first six years, GCERF has raised over 200m USD and reached over three million people in communities at risk. An academic by training, Khalid is Professor of Conflict, Peace, and Security at the University of Maastricht. Khalid is a global expert on migration and was appointed MBE for services to asylum seekers and refugees. He chaired the World Economic Forum Future Council on Migration.
