Andrew Hendry joined Police Scotland in 2019. He leads the Digital, Data, Transformation and Service Design activity for the National Police Service of Scotland.

With a new Digital Strategy for the organisation published in August 2023 – He drives the implementation of a range of digital & data capabilities across the organisation such as National Body Worn Video, Digital Evidence Sharing Capability, Mobile Working and other specialist capabilities.

Through Transformation and Service Design he is leading the organisations overall transformation as it seeks to meet existing and emerging demand while dealing with finance and resource challenges across the public sector.

With a career spanning multiple sectors such as Energy, Retail, Trading, Engineering and Transport he contributes a broad-based perspective and positive challenge around organisational transformation, Target Operating Model Development and Digital/Data investment.

He has a keen interest in AI and Data Analytics technology and how it can support efficiency, innovation and provided access to better insight, data and drive more positive outcomes for victims of crime and the criminal justice sector as a whole.
