Lt. Colonel Dana is a life-long law enforcement professional and is passionate about combating crimes against vulnerable people and the community.

Lt. Col. Dana heads the International Affairs Bureau at UAE Ministry of Interior, which oversees all international activities including but not limited to the police attaché́ offices, international memberships and participations, the development and management of MOUs and treaties as well as international working groups, projects, and initiatives.

Dana oversees several UAE’s international initiatives including:

  • International Security Alliance: A working group that was established by the Ministries of Interior of the UAE and France in 2017. Other members include Italy, Israel, Spain, Slovakia, Singapore, Morocco, Senegal, and Bahrain. The alliance aims to drive the exchange of practices and experiences in transnational crimes and money laundering. Member countries engage through workshops and joint exercises as well as group training programs.
  • Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities: A global initiative that was established to empower faith leaders to work for the safety and security of communities. The initiative facilitates the building of bridges between key stakeholders including faith communities, NGOs and experts in various domains. It aims to empower faith leaders with knowledge, and to mobilize them to play a more active role in community safety. Areas of focus include child dignity in the digital world and hate crimes.

Lt. Colonel Dana also serves as a Board Member of WePROTECT Global Alliance, an organization which aims to end sexual exploitation online. Dana has previously also headed the Secretariat of the Virtual Global Task Force.
