Reflection report


On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organisation declared the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic. Just under two years on, with the global economy still reeling from the devastating loss of life, disruption to livelihoods and supply chains, and preparing for recovery, the Russian invasion of Ukraine threw energy and food security - and prices - into turmoil. Recognising that in recent years, policing has taken center-stage on a myriad of issues directly related to the management of the pandemic alongside the day-to-day prevention and combating of crime, this report explores how ongoing trends, challenges and opportunities have impacted the future of policing.
