The Jordan National K9 Center, established as an independent entity on January 1st, 2024, is dedicated to offering training courses and supplying trained K9s to interested parties, both domestically and internationally. Operating as a for-profit company under the ownership of the Jordanian Armed Forces, the center extends its products and services globally. It caters to clients seeking to purchase green or trained K9s, and attend advanced training programs, including SWAT and Special Ops, with the option to incorporate live munitions, flash bangs, smoke grenades, and tactical explosive breaching.
With training facilities like the Live-fire CQB, Airbus 300 aircraft, Urban village, and Classrooms, the Center encompasses but is not limited to the following training capabilities:
Explosive Detection: Canines are trained to detect various types of explosives and explosive devices. With a possibility of using large caches of 5 Kilograms or more.
Search and Rescue: Training involves teaching K9s to locate and rescue individuals in various environments, including disaster-stricken areas, buildings, or wilderness settings.
Patrol and Security: K9s are trained for patrol and security purposes, assisting in apprehending suspects, providing protection, and patrolling specific areas such as is the case in Route clearance and border patrol.
Tactical Maneuvers: K9s are trained to perform tactical maneuvers in coordination with their handlers. This may include controlled aggression, controlled apprehension, and other tactical movements.
Scenario-based Training: Realistic scenarios are simulated to mimic the challenges that the dogs and handlers may encounter in the field. This could include urban environments, building searches, variable surfaces, Rappelling, Fast roping, and dynamic tactical situations.
Use of Specialized Equipment: The center incorporates the use of special equipment, such as K9 helmets and cameras, live munitions, flash bangs, smoke, and tactical explosive breaching, to familiarize the dogs with the sounds and conditions they may encounter during operations.
Range Rentals: Clients have the option of Training Facility rentals available to them along with the optional use of supporting facilities such as Accommodations, Gym, Pro-shop, and Restaurant.
The center offers other services aside from training which include Consultations, Training equipment, and working K9s.
Consultations: The long experience of the center’s staff allows the center to offer consultation services to clients seeking to establish static or mobile K9 units beginning from the design phase.
Veterinary services: JK9’s massive 1500 sqm Veterinary Hospital with its highly advanced equipment and Diagnostic Imaging machinery, as well as Jordan’s simple and straight forward small animal entry and transit laws mean the hospital can provide veterinary care services to K9s injured in the line of duty in any of Jordan’s neighboring countries at a moment’s notice.
Training equipment: JK9 is the distributor of a number of leading K9 training equipment brands as well as having its own line of handler vests, K9 patrol, and K9 Rappelling harnesses.
Green and Trained K9s: The center is capable of supplying a large number of Single or Dual purpose K9s to Units or Private companies as well as pairing K9s with their new handlers.
