Rapid urbanisation and technology adoption has changed the criminal landscape around the world, and have redefined the responsibilities of law enforcement officers. Since their inception, drones have been used across a wide variety of applications, and today, they are a part of the core first response teams in several police forces and emergency response teams.

Taking place on 14 March 2022, the World Police Summit’s Drones Conference will provide a unique platform for law enforcement agencies to gain insights on the novel applications of drones to enhance situational awareness, collect evidence, respond to emergencies and create safer and secure communities.

CONFERENCE THEMES INCLUDE
  • Drones and the future of policing
  • Regulations and policies to manage drones
  • Drones and healthcare supplies
  • Safer airspace management
  • Drones and climate change

Drones and AI as enablers of global safety and security

Leadership interview | Conference Room C

From delivering goods to supporting search and rescue operations, drones are at the forefront of the technology revolution. Whilst most countries have begun using drones, the regulatory frameworks needed to enable the full-fledged deployment in public airspace are still in their infancy. Furthermore, compliance and privacy of drone data also pose a barrier for governments, law enforcement, and emergency response teams to adopt drones for a variety of public safety applications. How are governments revamping their regulatory frameworks to enable public and private use of drones by prioritising public safety, privacy, and security? What does the future hold for drones in law enforcement and public safety for situational awareness, and risk management through aerial intelligence?

Attendee Insights:

An important session for attendees to gain insights on the significance of forward-looking drone regulations and frameworks that will drive their integration in national airspaces and help law enforcement and public safety agencies on a wide array of operations.

Transforming disaster response and emergency preparedness: how can drones and data analysis enhance situational awareness and save lives?

Leadership panel | Conference Room C

Drones have become a critical vantage point in law enforcement for a situational picture before sending support troops to the places where they are most needed. In civilian operations, drones are being used across a multitude of operations including checking emission levels, assessing fire dynamics, and maintaining perimeter security. Quick reaction plays a critical role in emergencies and drones have the capability to fill the intelligence gap. How are drones being used in emergencies and humanitarian efforts around the world and how can similar strategies be employed in law enforcement? What are the benefits of real-time analysis of drone data to support incident evaluation and situational awareness?

Attendee Insights:
